Argentina relaxes restrictions on imported products such as bolts and auto parts

On January 25, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Argentina announced that it will abolish the non-automatic import licensing system for most imported products. This decision means that the Afghan government began to gradually ease import restrictions.

According to the resolution, there are currently 17 categories of 18 categories of goods subject to non-automatic licensing systems that are not subject to import pre-approval procedures, including paper, household products, toys, footwear, motorcycles, bicycle tires, balls, textiles, etc. Grocery products, shoe accessories, metallurgy products, yarns, fabrics, tires, bolts, automotive parts and vehicles.

The new laws and regulations dealt with nearly 600 kinds of goods that are required by the Ministry of Industry of the People's Republic of China for resolution 45/2011. In the resolution, the Ministry of Economic Affairs pointed out that the phased goals established by the non-automatic import licensing system have been achieved and the government has decided to abolish it gradually in accordance with the principle of selection and suitability.

In early February of last year, the Argentine government began to implement import measures including the non-automatic import licensing system to protect its domestic industry and reverse the unfavorable balance of trade. The vast majority of imported goods must be reported in advance and approved before they can be imported. Procedures, purchase the US dollars required for import trade from the Central Bank.

The import restrictions not only made it apparent that the foreign companies in Albania felt more difficult to manage, but also made the relationship between Argentina and the world’s major trading partners increasingly tense. It has been reported that most of the goods involved in the repeal of the non-automatic import licensing system came from the Southern Common Market, Argentina’s main trading partner.
