The so-called crushing ratio is expressed as the ratio of the largest block size in the crusher 's feed to the largest nugget size in the broken product.

In the middle     i - the ratio of crushing;

             D - the largest block size in the broken feedstock, mm;

        d - the largest block size in the broken product, in millimeters.

The so-called maximum block size of the material is often expressed as the size of the mesh that can pass 95% of the material. The size of the crushing ratio indicates the multiple of the particle size reduction after each section of the ore is crushed. For example, the maximum size of a certain medium crusher crusher is 150 mm , the largest block size of the product is 50 mm , the crushing ratio of the crusher .

Each crushing stage has a crushing ratio called phase crushing ratio. The total crushing ratio (i.e., the ratio of the largest block size of the raw ore fed to the coarse crusher to the most granular size of the final crusher product) is equal to the product of the crushing ratios of the segments.

Where i is the total broken ratio;
