**Tire Recycling Process:**
1. **Prime Shredder**
The Dura-Shred Dual Shaft Shredder 150 is a high-power machine with 150 HP that rotates blades to reduce large truck and car tires into rough 3" shredded strips. These materials are then recirculated until they can be sent to the Grater via conveyor.
2. **The Grater**
The Dura-Shred Grater 150 further reduces the chips to 10mm-12mm. At this stage, 95%-97% of steel is removed using a magnet belt, while the rubber mulch is transported to vibratory tables for separation. This marks the end of the mulch production line. For crumb rubber, the steel-free mulch is sent to the Granulator for further processing.
3. **Granulator**
The Dura-Shred Granulator reduces the rubber to 5mm-7mm or 10-20 mesh. It is then removed through a screening system. Additional steel and fiber are separated via an air and vibratory system before being sent to the surge bin for collection.
