Main industrial indicators of bentonite deposits

The general industrial requirements for the quality of bentonite ore are measured by the amount of montmorillonite in the ore:
Cut-off grade: ≥ 40%;
Industrial average grade: ≥50%.
The montmorillonite content is generally converted by the amount of blue absorbed, ie:
M=B/K ́100
Relative content of montmorillonite in M-bentonite ore, %;
B-blue amount, milliequivalent/100 g sample;
K-conversion factor, 150.
Available thickness: 1~2m;
Clip stone removal thickness: ≥ 1m.
The ore reserves > 50 million tons are large deposits, medium-sized deposits are 5 to 50 million tons, and <5 million tons are small deposits. The test of bentonite ore is divided into basic performance test and process performance test. The basic performance test items include: blue absorption, total cation exchange and component, gelatinous price, expansion capacity, and pH value. Process performance test items are determined according to their purpose. Common test items are:
Mechanical manufacturing, wet compressive strength, dry compressive strength, hot wet tensile strength, gas permeability;
Metallurgical compressive strength of pellets, the number of fall, burst temperature, 2 hours and 24 hours water absorption;
Drilling mud pulping rate, water loss rate, viscometer reading, apparent viscosity, plastic viscosity, dynamic shear force, wet sieve analysis, etc.;
Petrochemical decolorizing capacity, specific surface area, the free acid, activity, moisture, particle size and the like.
