Car fire in Northbrook, 2-17-19

A car fire broke out in Northbrook on Saturday along Lake-Cook Road. It’s quite a scene, and I’ve attached some photos below so you can get an idea of what happened.

It’s crazy how quickly these things can spread. I was driving by when I saw the smoke, and then pulled over to take a look. The firefighters were already on the scene, but it looked like the vehicle was pretty much toast.
I’ve been following this area for years, and while incidents like this aren’t common, they do happen. If anyone knows more details about what caused the fire, feel free to drop a comment below. It’s always good to be aware of potential hazards on the road.
