Crash with entrapment in Hampshire, 11-2-18
Earlier today, the Hampshire Fire Protection District responded to a severe car accident involving a tree just north of Kelley Road. The incident occurred late yesterday afternoon (11/2/18), and it was quite a challenging situation due to the extent of the vehicle's damage. Our team worked diligently to extricate the injured occupant, who was then rushed to an Elgin-area hospital with critical injuries.
As it was a busy day for us, with multiple emergency calls coming in simultaneously, we received valuable assistance from mutual aid partners at the Burlington and Pingree Grove Fire Protection Districts. Their help was crucial in managing the workload effectively.
