High-end Fine Chemicals Chengjin Petrochemical Enhancement Highlights

How do Petrochemical companies extend the petroleum processing industry chain and maximize their benefits? Jinzhou Petrochemical Fine Chemical Company found the answer. The company relies on heavy aromatics deep processing as a leading fine chemical industry, forming its own technology and brand advantages, so that fine chemical products become a bright spot. In the first six months of this year, the company produced a total of 2,600 tons of meta-toluene, 65 tons of mesitylene, and 1,732 tons of iso-butadiene, with a production and sales rate of 100%.
In recent years, China's fine chemical industry, especially some high-end chemical products, has been in short supply, and Jinzhou Petrochemical Fine Chemicals Company, which is well aware of this situation, began to take the path of fine chemical development in May 2003 and successfully developed the heavy aromatics series of high-quality products. Trimethylbenzene and mesitylene are used for purity and provide a stable growth point for the company.
The company also made great efforts to adopt advanced technologies to increase the technological gold content of fine chemical products. Through the use of CY-type new fillers for partial trimethylbenzene fractionation systems, the problems of reduced separation efficiency, product purity and low yield have been solved. By reforming the mesitylene distribution control system, equipment and alkali addition process, the bottleneck problem of the long-period operation of the control device was solved.
Isobutylene is a raw material for the production of polyisobutylene antioxidants and other products, widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries. The company's 3,000 tonne/year isobutylene plant uses MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether) as raw material to produce high-purity isobutylene, while also producing by-product methanol. In November 2007, they successfully used energy-efficient packing and secondary water washing process technology to carry out an expansion and reconstruction of the isobutene plant, which increased the plant processing capacity to 6,000 tons; the product purity increased from 99% to 99.7% and reached the level of polymerization.
At present, the company has a variety of fine chemical products, and has five patents for product technology. With the heavy aromatics utilization alone, we have successfully developed various high-end products such as metaxylene, mesitylene, high-purity methenamine, and isopropyl ether.
