After decades of development, China's equipment manufacturing industry has become an important pillar industry with complete categories, considerable scale and a certain level of technology. The meeting emphasized that four tasks must be effectively implemented.

Second, implement major projects to revitalize the equipment manufacturing industry. Focus on the development of large-scale petrochemical equipment, large-scale ships, large-scale precision high-speed CNC machine tools, integrated circuit key equipment and other major technical equipment in 16 areas. Organize and implement a number of major technological equipments to rely on independent projects, and gradually realize autonomous design, independent manufacturing, independent construction, and independent operation, and strive to master core technologies and system integration technologies.
Third, establish and improve the institutional mechanisms for revitalizing the equipment manufacturing industry. We will deepen the reform of equipment manufacturing enterprises and enhance independent innovation and market competitiveness.
