Roberts Park Box Alarm in Hickory Hills 5-12-13
I took these photos after the fire at the Camelot Banquets in Hickory Hills. It's a heartbreaking loss for the family, especially since the building was recently remodeled. While I was taking pictures, the owners' family arrived to assess the damage. They were also in the process of boarding up the windows. The center of the building suffered significant damage, including a large hole in the roof. From what I remember, that area might have been the kitchen or near it—I’m not entirely sure, as it’s been over five years since I last visited. They served great Polish food, and I hope the family can rebuild soon. A big thank you to my friend Caroline Juchas for sharing one of her photos.
