7 Reasons to Love Ukraine

August 24th marks Ukraine’s Independence Day, and it also represents the 6-month anniversary of Russia’s unprovoked invasion. For Delfast, a company with deep Ukrainian roots, this moment is both painful and powerful. Over the past 182 days, our team has faced evacuation, shelter, displacement, and the emotional toll of war. Yet, through all of this, we have not stopped moving forward.

We’ve adapted our manufacturing and shipping processes, developed new bike technologies, and continued supporting our community in any way we can. Every member of our team has found their own way to contribute—whether by helping refugees, delivering supplies, or volunteering on the front lines. It's a testament to the strength and resilience of Ukraine and its people.

After sending his family to safety, Serhii returned to Kyiv and has remained there since March 3rd. He has been delivering food, clothes, and medical supplies to Hostomel, which was under occupation. He also helps an elderly neighbor, providing groceries and emotional support. He believes that solidarity is just as important as material aid during crises.

As an IT specialist, Serhii joined the Ukrainian 'IT Army' to build secure platforms that protect critical services and combat Russian propaganda online. His efforts help keep Ukraine connected and informed.

Olena’s brother is currently serving in the Armed Forces, so she sends him supplies and even handmade gifts. She believes small gestures like cookies and drawings make a big difference in morale.

Viktoria coordinates humanitarian aid coming into Ukraine from Europe. Though she had to leave her home initially, she returned quickly because Kyiv is where her heart is.
