Recently, PCBWay introduced a handy plugin named PCBWay Fabrication Toolkit into KiCad. With just one simple click of your mouse, it automates the export process for four essential files directly from your layout file: Gerber files, IPC-Netlist files, BOM files, and Pick and Place files. This significantly boosts the efficiency of your pre-production workflow.

Installing from the Official KiCad Repositories

Once installed, you can easily use this plugin to generate BOM files and centroid files.

Please Note: If you're placing an order that requires patching, make sure to include MPN information in your design file. This helps PCBWay's team source the exact components you need more precisely.

Manual Installation

In addition to the official repository method, you can also manually install the plugin by downloading the latest ZIP file from GitHub. Simply open the "Plugin and Content Manager" from KiCad's main window and install the ZIP file using the "Install from File" option.
