Entrusted by China National Offshore Oil Corporation Shanghai Oilfield Construction Engineering Branch, the HOME team led by Professor Yang Canjun of Zhejiang University has successfully developed the sea biological cleaning robot of Zhejiang University, which can automatically clean the marine animals within 100 meters of the water surface. In the first sea trials, the robot cleaning speed reached 21.7 square meters / hour, cleaning pressure 20 MPa, far below the manual cleaning pressure of 70 MPa, to achieve the same cleaning effect.

Professor Yang Canjun introduction, the robot uses cavitation jet, catheter adaptive, visual navigation control and other technologies. Robot with adaptive permanent magnet adsorption module, in different diameters of the steel pipe surface to achieve stable adsorption, but also in different diameters of the pipeline between the leap.

Sea test results show that this new robot improves the ease and operability of offshore operations and can completely replace divers in marine underwater cleaning operations. Relevant experts from China National Offshore Oil Corporation believe that it can be popularized and applied in the fields of ship cleaning and bridge cleaning detection in the future.
