Chlorine-containing exhaust gas treatment technology

1, absorption method

1) Chlorine fumes from chlorine-containing waste gas The method uses a waste gas treatment tower such as a packed tower or a spray tower to treat the exhaust gas with alkali liquor. Common alkalis are NaOH, Ca(OH)2 and Na2CO3. The absorbed solution is a hypochlorite product. The method is simple and easy to operate.

2) Chlorine exhaust gas to make hydrazine hydrate The method uses alkali solution as an absorbent to treat the chlorine in the exhaust gas, and finally makes hydrazine hydrate. After the chlorine-containing exhaust gas is removed and cooled, it enters the absorption tower and reacts with 30% NaOH solution to generate sodium hypochlorite. Sodium hypochlorite, urea and potassium permanganate react in an oxidation pot to form hydrazine hydrate. The reaction principle is:

2NaOH+Cl2→NaCl+NaOCl+H2O

NaOCl+NH2CONH2+2NaOH→N2H4·H2O+NaCl+Na2CO3

The method is simple and has good treatment effect. After treatment, the chlorine content in the exhaust gas can reach below 0.05%.

3) Water absorption method When the concentration of chlorine in the exhaust gas is less than 1%, the [chemical plant exhaust gas treatment, acid mist treatment] can absorb chlorine gas with water, and then desorption with water vapor heating to recover chlorine gas.

4) Ferric chloride absorption method This method is to use a ferric chloride solution to absorb chlorine-containing waste gas to produce ferric chloride in a packed tower, and then use iron scrap to reduce iron trichloride to ferric oxide, making it recycled. . The dechlorination efficiency of this method can reach 90%.

5) Carbon tetrachloride absorption method When chlorine concentration is more than 1%, carbon tetrachloride can be used as absorbent. The absorbent is desorbed by heating or blowing off. Chlorine can be recycled.

2. Oxidation and reduction method (iron method)

The method reacts with hydrogen chloride carried in iron scrap and chlorine-containing waste gas to produce ferrous chloride; ferrous chloride adsorbs chlorine gas and oxidizes divalent iron to trivalent iron, which is reduced by iron scraps. , participate in the adsorption reaction again.
