Feng Jianfeng, who lived in Guangning County, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, was impoverished. When he was 17 years old, he dropped out of school and worked hard for more than 10 years. In February last year, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the Second People's Hospital of Guangdong Province, and his condition was critical.

Bone marrow transplantation is the only hope for the cure of leukemia. Feng Jianfeng’s family has come to Guangzhou to do pairing. I did not expect that the only successful pairing was a sudden eruption of brain hemorrhage due to labor. Having said this, the family has mixed feelings.

But the older sister said that he must save his younger brother anyway. The problem of surgery fees is in front of me. “From the onset to the present, Jianfeng has done a total of 5 courses, including the first inspection and chemotherapy, and spent a total of nearly 200,000 yuan.” Said Feng Jianxin, the second-sister, said that in order to transplant his brother, they had thought of selling their house. "But people in my hometown know that someone in our family got leukemia. No one wants to buy it."

Feng Jianxin and his sister-in-law discuss the issue of operating expenses by selling kidneys. “We know this is illegal, but we have lost our way.” Feng Jianxin said that they have heard that many people can live by donating their kidneys. However, if the younger brother’s illness is not treated, he will not even have his life. In the end, Feng Jianfeng’s discouragement, the two did not put into action.

Tan Youping, the attending physician of the Department of Hematology, introduced that after chemotherapy, the level of leukemia cells in Feng Jianfeng has been very low and it is very suitable for transplant surgery. The success rate of transplantation is relatively high, and 50% to 60% of the patients may be cured. Feng Jianfeng's early surgery costs 300,000 yuan, and later anti-rejection, anti-infection and other follow-up drug treatment also cost more than 20 million.
