Neway Launches New Microbial CO2 Incubator Series

Plymouth, Minnesota, September 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- NuAire announces the release of a new series of microbial CO2 incubators. The new In-VitroCell ES Series CO2 incubators currently have 7 direct thermal modes.

The In-VitroCell CO2 incubator uses a single source dual-wave infrared sensor to maintain accurate carbon dioxide gas concentrations in the growth chamber. The wavelength used is only absorbed by the carbon dioxide so that the measurement is not particularly sensitive to other components such as water vapor. The large 7-cubic-foot (200-litre) interior room is surrounded by six-sided indoor heating elements, with high-density R5 insulation outside to reduce the incubator area. Dual temperature sensors maintain accurate temperature uniformity while individual door heating controls minimize condensation on the inner glass door. The inner chamber is made of 304L smooth stainless steel with a 16 gauge thickness through a seamless structure, making the surface clean and convenient, which is not conducive to biological growth. All shelves, brackets, and rails are easy to move and can be individually autoclaved. Mode NU-5810 and above can provide two thermal disinfection cycles to eliminate contaminants, one is when the cabinet is heated to 95 degrees Celsius, the other is that it is dry and sterilized when heated to 145 degrees Celsius. As an optional feature, customers can add CuVerro antibacterial copper surfaces to the incubator growth chamber and/or shelf to kill bacteria*, minimizing the potential for incubator contamination. CuVerro has passed laboratory tests and is registered with the US Environmental Protection Agency. CuVerro's antibacterial copper surface kills more than 99.9% of bacteria* in less than two hours, and continues to kill 99% of the bacteria* even if it is repeatedly contaminated during regular cleaning. Closed-loop HEPA filtration systems can provide SO Class 5 conditions similar to cleanrooms. Positive pressure is maintained indoors to prevent contaminated indoor air from entering the room. The indoor air is continuously filtered and sampled by HEPA in order to maintain a clean and uniform indoor condition, reduce the speed of the air flow, and perform aeration every 20 minutes to minimize cell drying.
