Under the condition of mixed concentrate molybdenum grade 0.47% and copper content 21.20%, the molybdenum concentrate molybdenum grade 47.50%, molybdenum concentrate copper 1.11%, and concentrate recovery recovery rate 70.76% have been obtained.

Huatailong a beneficiation plant since the operation has been handling copper molybdenum ore, copper molybdenum mixed concentrate output is only sold as copper concentrate (molybdenum is not pricing), to enhance the impact of the overall economic benefits of the company. With the commissioning of the second phase of the 40,000 t/d plant, it is extremely urgent to overcome the copper and molybdenum separation technology.

In June 2016, Changchun Gold Research Institute began research work on the technical problems of Huatailong copper and molybdenum separation. The hospital attached great importance to this, and listed the copper-molybdenum separation project as the “No. 1 Project” of the Changchun Gold Research Institute, and dispatched the elite forces in the hospital to immediately carry out experimental research work. In November 2016, Du Haiqing, former deputy general manager of China National Gold Group Corporation, led the relevant departments of the Ministry of Science and Technology and China National Capital International to go to Jiama to coordinate the on-site industrial trials. The Changchun Gold Research Institute and Huatailong Company jointly established. The joint research team developed a “mixed concentrate pre-selection-copper-molybdenum separation” process for the unfavorable factors such as high mud content, high secondary copper content and low molybdenum grade of Huatailong Copper-Molybdenum Concentrate. A large number of argillaceous minerals separated by molybdenum have been subjected to "fine material sorting" for separation of copper and molybdenum, and good results have been obtained.

During the industrial trial, Zhao Zhanguo, deputy general manager of China National Gold Group Corporation, went to the plateau many times to inspect and guide the industrial test of copper and molybdenum separation, which greatly promoted the process of on-site transformation. Huatailong Chairman and Party Secretary Guan Shiliang and General Manager Wang Ping personally took the initiative to carry out on-site process improvement work. By optimizing the existing equipment configuration, process structure and pharmaceutical system of copper and molybdenum separation, the copper and molybdenum separation industrial test process of the No. 1 Concentrator was in 2017. In June of the year, the test was commissioned, and the process was successfully completed in one time, and the qualified molybdenum fine powder was successfully produced.

The success of the industrial test of copper and molybdenum separation in Huatailong Concentrate No. 1 Plant not only solved the technical problems that have plagued the enterprise for many years, but also provided strong support for the comprehensive utilization of copper and molybdenum resources in the second phase of 40000t/d, which is very important for the future development of the company. significance.
