Lemont FPD tanker for sale
The Lemont Fire Protection District is seeking sealed bids for the sale of a surplus water tender. This 1998 International chassis was originally purchased new by the district and has been in continuous service since its installation. The stainless-steel water tank, which was previously used on a 1986 model, was remounted onto this chassis in 1998. The vehicle is in excellent condition, with only 29,950 miles on the odometer and 3,520 engine hours. It has been consistently maintained by an in-house mechanic, and the fire pump was recently replaced in 2017. Before the sale, all graphics representing the Lemont Fire District will be removed, along with any additional equipment. All maintenance records will be provided to the buyer.

Bids will not be accepted via fax, email, phone, or text. The deadline for submission is **9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023**. Sealed bids will be opened at the same time and location.

Minimum bid is $30,000. The district reserves the right to accept the highest bid or reject any or all bids if they are not in the best interest of the district. Bidders must provide an email address or phone number for notification of the award. Payment must be received within 10 business days of the notice of award, and it must be made via ACH deposit, cash, or certified check payable to the Lemont Fire Protection District.
The buyer is required to remove the water tender from the premises within five business days of payment. Once payment is made, the sale is final, with no refunds or returns allowed.
