Congratulations to Chief Damon Schuldt and the entire team at the Kankakee Fire Department on the arrival of their brand-new 2017 Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance! This state-of-the-art unit is built on a rugged Ford F450 4×4 chassis and features a high-performance Liquid Spring suspension system for enhanced comfort and stability during emergency runs. It also comes equipped with Whelen LED emergency lighting for maximum visibility and our custom "Coolbar" HVAC system to keep both crew and patients comfortable in all weather conditions.

This marks the first time the Kankakee Fire Department has added a Wheeled Coach unit to its fleet, and we're thrilled to be part of this exciting milestone. We'd like to extend a warm welcome to KFD as they join the Fire Service family. While the unit is still being lettered and prepped for service, we'll be sharing more photos soon so you can see the new ambulance up close!
