Autodesk advances its vision for Autodesk Construction Cloud
Since the introduction of Autodesk Build in 2021, we've been steadily advancing our vision for a connected construction experience through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). This platform brings together comprehensive solutions for the entire digital building lifecycle, enabling seamless collaboration and data integration across all project phases.
Over the past year alone, we’ve rolled out nearly 300 product updates to ACC, introducing new features and connecting key workflows to support our customers in meeting the growing demands of global construction and infrastructure projects. These updates have been designed to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and empower teams with more reliable and integrated tools.
At this year’s CONEXPO, we’re excited to announce several new enhancements that further strengthen the end-to-end experience within ACC—covering everything from design and preconstruction to actual construction and operations. These improvements are aimed at delivering a more unified, efficient, and intelligent workflow for construction professionals.
**Streamlined Submittals Process in ACC**
One of the most significant updates we're unveiling today is the integration of AutoSpecs into ACC. This powerful tool offers a cohesive and connected submittal process directly within the ACC platform, revolutionizing how teams manage and submit project specifications.
With AutoSpecs, users can now generate submittal logs in just minutes, automating a time-consuming and error-prone task that previously took weeks to complete. This not only saves time but also allows teams to focus on higher-value activities while ensuring accuracy and completeness in their submittal documentation.
Additionally, AutoSpecs leverages AI through Construction IQ to identify missing submittal items before they become costly mistakes. By analyzing current project specifications against historical data, it suggests potential gaps, helping teams stay ahead of issues.
The integration with Autodesk Build allows users to push the submittal log directly into the system, where they can track statuses, set up custom review workflows, annotate documents, and even archive completed submittals—all in one place.

AutoSpecs will be available to users who purchase the ACC for Construction Operations bundle following its general availability release on March 21, 2023.

ACC is built on the principle of connecting teams, data, and workflows throughout the entire project lifecycle. Mobile access is a critical part of this vision. That's why we’ve renamed our mobile app to **Autodesk Construction Cloud**, making it the central hub for all project information—whether online or offline. The app integrates data from Autodesk Build, Autodesk Docs, Autodesk BIM Collaborate, and PlanGrid, allowing teams to access and manage their projects from anywhere.
Users can navigate drawings and BIM models, collaborate on issues and checklists, create markups, link photos, and much more—all from a single, unified interface.
